5th OF MATTHEW | Sunday 8th July | Μattins and Divine Liturgy, 10.00a.m.
Our church is a Parish Church of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain under the Ecumenical Patriarchate. This parish was founded in 1873 as the Greek Sea Men’s Mission. Today it serves Orthodox Christians across Cardiff and South Wales. Services are celebrated in both Greek and English. On Sundays, Mattins begins at 9:30am and Divine Liturgy at 11am until around 1pm. Also, once a month, a Russian Divine Liturgy (Богослужение на русском) is celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:30. Confessions are taken before the service takes place with a Russian priest.
Everyone is welcome to attend both the Greek or Russian services, regardless of where they are from. The parishioners are from mixed nationalities, and from various backgrounds. If you are new to Orthodoxy or if you want to learn more about the Orthodox Church you are very welcome to come along and join us.
